VAMFF 2020

COMMENT: There are few fashion weeks that allow both the fashion industry and fashion lovers to collide. And one where the looks seen on the runway, are available immediately off the runway. In this fast-paced industry, that’s a huge win for both retailers and consumers. Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival 2020 was a different experience entirely- one where the fashion on and off the runway was served with a side of COVID19 drama.

The first few nights of VAMFF went off without a Corona-hitch. Whilst the rest of the world was shutting down, the Royal Exhibition Building continued the tradition that is VAMFF. Looking back it’s unbeliveable that we were able to experience VAMFF 2020… I flew home in total disbelief that we were able to make it through as much as we did. Fashion, is and always was, escapism at it’s finest. And VAMFF 2020 was exactly that.
