LOCATION: The Adelphi Hotel, Melbourne.

COMMENT: This the second time I’ve stayed at the Adelphi Hotel and I get why the whole world raves about it (no joke- every person who knows the place, loves it- Uber drivers, Ola drivers… DiDi drivers, see- EVERYONE). The location is the actual best (Chin Chin is a few doors up, Supernormal and Hazel are legit across the road), and it’s got its own rooftop pool. I should also mention here that the snacks and mini bar are complimentary. That’s right… comp-li-mentary!

There is a warmth from the staff that can’t be explained- and it’s witnessed by all that are staying or visiting the property. They bend over backwards and are as generous as hell- from the snacks to their time. I always seem to have a few strange requests when I’m visiting a city for fashion week- usually it’s a room being cleaned in a particular time frame or the acceptance of clothing deliveries (even before I arrive). But this time I had an extra request, where the lovely Tina at reception had to personally handle items that were being collected- whilst I raced to the airport so as to not miss my flight back to Perth. She stayed in constant contact with me as I drove to the airport, anxiously anticipating a call, and she more than delivered. It’s Tina, Charlotte and the entire Adelphi Hotel team that create the environment that is now so highly regarded and revered within Melbourne and beyond. This is exactly why people rave about this quirky yet cool hotel. It’s the location, the staff, the spacious rooms and the rooftop pool. It’s an entire package.
